In this presentation, Lea Maria Ferguson, Bernhard Mittermaier, and Joshua Shelly provided an overview of the project results achieved and showed how the resources and information from Transform2Open can support professionals in libraries and other information infrastructure institutions.

Open access as an organizational and institutional challenge

Workshop 10
Time: Thursday, September 18, 2025:  9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.; Location: C358

Short keynote speeches offered insights into important topics such as the Alliance Study on the Financing of Open Access Infrastructures, DeepGreen, the Electronic Journal Library (EZB), Infra Wiss Blogs, the Open Access Monitor, and SCOSS. After the presentations, participants gathered at themed tables in an interactive format to reflect on funding approaches and analyze their perspectives in the global information supply system.

Practices and infrastructures of open access monitoring

Workshop 24

Time: Friday, September 19, 2025: 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.; Location: C425

This workshop was jointly organized by the DFG-funded projects OA Datenpraxis, openCost, and Transform2Open and was aimed at professionals involved in monitoring. The aim of the workshop was to discuss current issues in open access monitoring with the participants. The workshop focused on the following areas of action: (1) strengthening standardization in the field of monitoring, (2) promoting transparency initiatives in this area, (3) further developing the possibilities for reusing open data – also in the context of the Barcelona Declaration.
